About Julie
If you're looking for a family law attorney in Las Vegas who will explain every step of your case in plain language — in English or in Spanish — Julie Bravo-Bezard is worth a conversation.
Julie came to the law after a full first career in the classroom. For more than sixteen years she taught English for the Clark County School District at White Middle School, Green Valley High School, Eldorado High School, and West Career & Technical Academy, coaching speech and debate along the way. She later served as a Secondary Literacy Project Facilitator, training teachers district-wide and helping write materials for the Nevada Literacy Plan. Reading closely, writing clearly, and building an argument that holds up under pressure are the skills she taught for years — and the skills her clients now rely on.
She earned her B.S. in Secondary Education from UNLV in 2005, graduating on the Dean's Honor List, and a Master of Education in Literacy and Language from Touro University Nevada with a 4.0 GPA.
Julie earned her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in 2025 on a full academic scholarship, graduating with Highest Pro Bono Honors. She gained federal court experience as an extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Brenda Weksler, worked with families facing eviction through a tenants' rights residency at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and externed with the Nevada Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection. She is admitted to practice in Nevada state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
Before joining Rosenblum Allen Law, Julie practiced as an associate attorney at McFarling, Cohen, Fic & Squires, where she represented clients in custody and divorce hearings, negotiated stipulated agreements with opposing counsel, and drafted motions, parenting agreements, proposed orders, and appellate briefs. She regularly advises clients on how to communicate with the other parent during a custody dispute — often where cases are won or lost.
Her path also includes six years in Bank of America's Private Bank and Trust Department and four years at H&R Block, giving her a practical comfort with financial records that matters in property division and support cases.
Why clients choose Julie: She is patient, precise, and a natural teacher — clients leave every meeting understanding where their case stands and why. She is fluent in Spanish, so Spanish-speaking families can work with her directly from the first consultation through court, with no interpreter in between. And after years of pro bono work for families who had nowhere else to turn, she knows what's at stake when a family comes through the door.
Legal Experience
Julie built courtroom, appellate, and client-advocacy experience before and during law school. A few highlights:
Julie completed two years of guardianship accountings and court reports for a Spanish-speaking pro bono client caring for three wards — handling the work directly in the client's first language.
Through the Partners in Pro Bono program, Julie worked on an appellate case alongside one of Nevada's recognized family law appellate attorneys from October 2024 through August 2025.
Julie externed for U.S. Magistrate Judge Brenda Weksler in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, seeing firsthand how judges evaluate motions, evidence, and argument.
Named Outstanding Student for her work helping community members seal their criminal records, then returned as an Experiential Teacher for the same Legal Aid Center class.
